> Applicants must be in good physical condition, able to use both hands and must be able to endure the physical requirements the welding industry demands (able to lift 50lbs, able to work in flat, vertical overhead positions and have good eyesight.) It is suggested that applicants have a recent eye examination prior to enrolling.
> Prospective students who have previously taken welding-related coursework at another institution or have relevant field experience may request to be evaluated for transfer credits, which will replace scheduled program hours. Such determination after evaluation is at the discretion of the school official. Individuals with prior welding training or experience can request to have their skill level assessed by the school to determine the number of training hours to be transferred. It is CES Welding's policy to issue a written test and a practical welding test in accordance with American Welding Society standards for each welding process wishing to be credited.
